Submission Guidelines

Do you have a story about an accident or close call you would like to share? A safety product or trail you would like reviewed? An article to submit? Thanks for sharing with. Please read below on what’s possible and where to send it.

Use plain text in the body of the email or attached as a .doc or .rtf file. We are unable to post PDFs. Because this is an image rich website, we require at least 1 quality image/photo to be posted with your article, but we can include up to 6 images. Your story should be 350 words or more, but please don’t hold back on the detail.

If you know of a local or regional safety issue in your area you’d like us to cover, please let us know about it via email: [email protected].

5 Quick Tips for submitting a horseback riding safety story:

  1. Start with a headline that is attention-grabbing and informative.
  2. Make sure to include your location, city, county, state, etc.
  3. Think about your news from an outsider’s perspective—what’s the most fascinating part of what you’re trying to share? Put that first and then follow up with details.
  4. Proofread your release—better yet, have someone else do it for you!  Although we will do editing for SEO purposes, we would like to keep your story as close as possible to your real wording.
  5. Don’t forget to include your name and your horse’s name!
